The dtfprint.hr web shop is operated by Studio A5 j.d.o.o., Josipa Lenca Spodolčeva 5, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia, company ID (OIB): 43566265122 (the “Seller”, “we”). By purchasing through our web shop you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. We may amend the terms from time to time; the version in force at the moment of ordering applies to your order.
All prices are in euros (€) excluding VAT. VAT (25%) and delivery costs are calculated and clearly shown in the cart before you confirm the order. For business customers from other EU member states with a valid VAT ID (verified via VIES), the reverse-charge mechanism applies. We reserve the right to change prices; confirmed orders are not affected. In the event of an obvious error in a price or product description (typo, technical fault) we reserve the right to cancel the contract, in which case we will notify you immediately and refund all payments made.
After placing an order you will receive an e-mail confirmation with your order number. Payment options:
DTF gangsheet rolls created in our online designer and transfers ordered by uploading your own PDF are produced exclusively from the files you deliver to us, without changes, corrections or checks on our side unless explicitly agreed in advance.
The customer is responsible for delivering print-ready files: correct dimensions, sufficient resolution (at least 300 dpi at actual print size), clean backgrounds and no technical defects, following our file preparation guide. We print exactly what you send — complaints caused by errors, omissions or inadequate preparation in the delivered files cannot be accepted.
Screens create colours by mixing light (RGB); printers create them by mixing ink (CMYK). Our DTF printers print in the CMYK colour space (plus a white underbase). If you deliver artwork in RGB or with Pantone colours, the RIP software automatically converts it at print time to the closest shade CMYK can reproduce, using ICC colour profiles.
A physical limitation applies: the CMYK gamut (range of colours) is smaller than the RGB gamut. Highly saturated, “neon” shades — vivid green, electric blue, intense magenta/pink, bright orange — exist on screen but cannot be printed by any CMYK printer; the conversion maps them to the nearest printable shade, so they appear darker or less saturated in print. We therefore recommend preparing artwork in a CMYK profile (e.g. FOGRA39 / Coated) and checking it with soft-proofing in your design software. Colour deviations resulting from RGB→CMYK conversion are not a product defect and cannot be grounds for a complaint.
Under every colour, a DTF printer prints a white underbase that must be slightly smaller (choked) than the artwork above it so it doesn’t peek out at the edges. With extremely thin lines there is simply no room for this: the minimum reliable line width is 0.6 mm (1.75 pt), and for multi-coloured fine details and small coloured text we recommend more. Thinner elements may print broken, without underbase (so the colour looks translucent on dark garments), or not at all; tiny “negative” details (cut-outs inside the artwork) may fill in. These technological limits are not a product defect.
A DTF transfer has no “semi-transparency”: a solid white underbase is printed beneath every visible pixel. Semi-transparent pixels (shadows, glows, gradients fading to transparent, poorly cleaned edges of PNG/JPEG files) receive a white underbase in print and appear as a light edge or “halo” around the artwork. Remove semi-transparent pixels and check the artwork edges before uploading.
How colours look on your monitor depends on its settings and calibration and may differ from the printed result. A difference between on-screen and printed colour, within the range usual for CMYK printing, is not a product defect.
We normally print transfers within 24–48 hours (working days) of receiving the order, or of the payment becoming visible for bank transfers. During busy periods (holidays, promotions, seasonal peaks) production may take longer — we always do our best to print as soon as possible. The production time is not a contractually fixed delivery deadline. If your deadline is critical, contact us before ordering; where offered, you can also choose the 24-hour express production service.
Shipments are handed over to DPD (with personal pickup available where offered at checkout). Delivery costs are shown in the cart before you confirm the order.
Delivery times depend on the courier and are outside our control once the parcel is handed over. DPD typically delivers within Croatia in 1–3 working days and to other EU countries in 2–7 working days; these times are indicative, not contractual, and can be longer (weather, holidays, force majeure, ferry-served islands etc.). Total time to delivery = production time (section 3.6) + courier transit time.
Check the parcel on receipt: record any visible damage to the packaging or contents with the courier immediately and report it to us within 24 hours, ideally with photos — this enables us to claim against the courier.
Consumers (natural persons) may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, in accordance with consumer protection law. Products must be unused, unopened and in their original packaging; the customer bears the cost of return shipping. This right does not apply to business (B2B) purchases.
DTF gangsheet rolls and transfers printed from your files are goods made to the customer’s specification. Under consumer protection law, the right of withdrawal (return) does not apply to such goods. A return or reprint of printed products is possible only when the error is on our side, for example:
In that case we will reprint whatever is missing or was delivered incorrectly free of charge and send it to you at no extra cost. Deviations originating in the delivered file and the technological limits described in section 3 (RGB→CMYK conversion, thin lines, semi-transparent pixels, screen-vs-print differences) do not count as errors on our side.
The quality and durability of an applied transfer depend on correct application (temperature, pressure, pressing time, fabric type) and care (washing at lower temperatures, inside out, no tumble-drying), which are outside our control. We are not liable for damage to garments or transfers caused by incorrect application or care. Instructions are available on the transfer application page; we recommend a test press before production runs.
Complaints are accepted in writing at info@dtfprint.hr (ideally with the order number and photos). We reply to every complaint within the statutory period of 15 days. We are liable for material defects in accordance with the Croatian Civil Obligations Act.
Consumables (inks, adhesive powders, cleaning agents, films etc.) are intended for professional use. We are not liable for damage to your printers, presses or other equipment caused by improper or unsuitable use of the products. Before first use we recommend testing with a small quantity and checking compatibility with your equipment, consulting the device manufacturer if needed.
We strive to keep all product information accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of every specification. Product photos are illustrative and need not match the delivered product in every detail; such deviations (including colour perception differences due to monitor settings) are not a product defect. If an ordered product is unavailable, we will inform you of the restocking time or offer the closest available alternative or a refund.
We process personal data solely to fulfil orders, in accordance with our Privacy & Cookie Policy.
These terms are governed by Croatian law. We will try to resolve disputes amicably; otherwise the competent court in Rijeka has jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumers’ statutory rights, including complaints and alternative dispute resolution procedures for consumer disputes.
For any questions about these terms, reach us at info@dtfprint.hr or +385 91 460 70 10.
